I am happy to say that Raidou is just as cool as he seemed and the action combat does the job.

I also like how well paced this game is between story and combat, you switch between the two regularly; it's a definite change of pace from what you may find in a Persona game where you can usually expect 3 hours of story/social links followed by 3 hours of dungeon grinding.
