Ascendant, developed and published by Imagisphere, is a fast-paced top-down roguelike that builds its identity around chaotic combat, layered progression systems, and the constant pursuit of powerful item synergies.
It is definitely quite challenging since there is only a parry option and and it has pretty unforgiving timing.
Sound design supports the action with energetic effects and ambient tones that reinforce the intensity of each encounter.
The art style is amazing and you can tell the dev realllly put a lot of effort in to the game.
