But luckily(?) for me, I'm terrible at point-and-clicks and also easily frustrated, so having the gameplay be My First Adventure Game-level was very refreshing compared to other games I've played (...tried to play).

This is very heavily carried by the extremely stylised art as well as the soundtrack and sound design, and the animation (for however little there is) is actually very charming and adds a lot to the games aesthetic.
