Octodad is a fun and humerous game that can be played either single handedly or with the help of a buddy in co-op mode.
Visually, Octodad: Dadliest Catch embraces a bright, cartoonish art style that complements its lighthearted tone.
The voice acting is another highlight, especially the protagonist’s family, who react with perfect comedic timing to the chaos you inevitably cause.
Controls, on a gamepad by yourself, are best described much like QWOP in how buttons control the individual parts of Octodad where the triggers control the left and right legs that the left thumbstick can move in a general direction.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
