Gameplay

Gameplay wise it's similar to other Tower Defense Games but different enough to keep it feeling like a completely different experience, The enemies come from different spots in that typical "wave" fashion we're all used to, but actually buying and upgrading towers isn't like other games were you just have the option on a side of the screen, you actually have to go up to the area / tower you want to build and in my case hold (Space bar) to place and upgrade it, After completing rounds you earn gold that you can spend on more buildings / upgrades (You Cannot Upgrade Half Way Through A Round), so that's a bit different from other tower games where you're earning money as you go and can upgrade stuff half way through a round.

I personally LOVE Tower Defense games, and the fact that this game just makes it super simplistic is awesome, The art style might not be for everyone but I personally love it.

- Some quests are weird, like one quest gives you the perk that makes your walls explode when destroyed, and at the same time the perk that heal your walls so well they never gets destroyed.

It runs smooth as butter on the Steam Deck and the controller support is flawless.

I'm probably just too spoiled by having put hundreds of hours in all of the Kingdom games with their beautiful pixel art and gorgeous soundtrack.
