Colossal Cave is a faithful remake of the eponymous first-ever popular text adventure from the mid-70s, now with first-person 3D graphics.
Disclaimer: I ́ve played through the game on the Meta Quest 2 (VR Standalone Version).
Also the interface is a little bit more comfortable compared to the Quest 2 solutions, but that doesn`t mean the Quest controls are bad.
And at least in this aspect, the old gameplay scored with me: I stayed motivated and always wanted to find a solution.
Sound effects are mostly okay and fit the respective action, with some notable exceptions (for example, the sound effect of wading through the river in the overworld area sounds nothing like the real thing).
Played on my PC first night and steam deck the next day.
