It feels more like a tame, sanitised walking simulator with very little narrative or challenge.
The setting, a terraformed moon of Jupiter, is absolutely fascinating, and the quiet, Breath of the Wild-like score and bright, beautiful Ghibli-like graphics do it incredible justice.
Europa, on the other hand, focuses way too much on that peaceful aesthetic, to the great detriment of actual gameplay.
It’s delivered in a way that complements the style of the game, and the voice acting is superb.
It plays super well on steam deck.
I do recommend that if you use a controller for this game like I did (xbox for me), map the jump/glide button to the left trigger or one of the bumpers instead of using the "a" button so you can reliably use the camera while flying around.
