Thomas Was Alone

First things first, game has a good concept and executed the display of the story's characters personalities with how they behave in the game. its a very novel and charming experience.

TLDR Minimalist puzzle-platformer with great aesthetics, simple and easy gameplay, but technical issues undermine the overall experience. [16/20⭐, 5h🏅, 2/5💡]

This is evidenced by this game’s well-thought-out difficulty curve; the earlier levels feel like tutorials and never last very long to ensure you’ll be moving towards the more substantiated ones quickly.

Despite being almost ten years old, its smart puzzle structure, compelling narration, and diverse electronic soundtrack ensure that it would still be a hit even if it was released today for the first time.

It does a lot with a little, and I mean A LITTLE, as the graphics are so minimal that characters are distinguished only by their size, shape and colour.

One very cool thing is that as the voiceover speaks, there are subtitles that appear next to the character you're playing as... but as you move, the subtitles waterfall so that you always see them on screen... so if you're at the right of the screen you might see the subtitles on one line to the left, but if you run to the left and there's less space, it sort of squishes into five or six lines.
