I've played a ton of survivors-like games and this one has something special between the amazing retro graphics, the well design sound effects and soundtrack, and the constant addition of new features -- you can really tell that the experience of being in the world is just as important as the gameplay to the developer, and its only the beginning.
The audio design supports the intense pace of gameplay with energetic music and impactful sound effects.
I also greatly appreciate the focus on designing for Steam Deck, it means that I’ll be able to zone out instead of engaging with people I don’t want to talk to during the holidays.
