Fewer side characters, with more fleshed out stories, would have been better imo.
The gameplay is quite unique as far as I'm aware, mixing a tower defense with a orderable bombardment unit while the player character gets their own set of skills to engage in combat yourself like
Said world is very evocative, and comes with some very nice visuals.
Excited to see what ideas and changes lie in the future. so damn cool menu screens!
Complimenting the game's visuals is the incredible soundtrack, which elevates the experience all by itself... just like the original Nier, too!
The store page says the developer recommends playing with a controller, and while I started out that way I quickly switched to mouse and keyboard and everything felt much more natural to control.
