Memorable characters.
I liked the first game (Call of Juarez) a little better, but Bound in Blood I'd say has superior gameplay.
The graphics were really impressive for the time.
The writing is darker and more mature than expected from a 2009 FPS, and the voice acting—especially for Ray—helps sell the drama.
This certainly is an FPS game, but it is not one of the traditional Run & Gun games.
Duels in this game are very difficult on hard mode, and are clearly intended to be played with a controller rather than a mouse (if you want to keep your hand by your gun the whole time, you'll need to cover a lot of ground on your mouse; just do it when the music cues you to).
