What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I belive that even games mainly focusing on story or worldbuilding shoud still have gameplay that is fun enhough that it dous not become repetetive, as the big differens between the medium of the movie, and the medium of the game is that games are interactive, and when the main thing about the medium you choose to tell a story with becomes an afterthoght, its generely not a good thing.
I have to admit that I was sceptical as all hell, as it was the developer's first title, but the developer certainly delivered with an immersive story and well made game, with a stunningly good soundtrack and using unique ways to invoke emotion in the player.
High replayability, and incredibly memorable experiences.
The transitions between 2D and 3D environments are executed well, and I love the simplistic style (even if its a result of a lack of textures lol)
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
