What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game does not punish you and does not require a guide for progression.
There is this early 2000s theme that really comforts me because it feels like I'm playing dwarf fortress (although very different game), I think some interface in the game can be optimized (like maybe a separate window for when I wanna look at my inventory/player market).
It is pretty simple, the graphics are very basic, and the tutorial leaves a lot unanswered (though you may not know it until later and will never be told except by asking chat or looking up external info).
Imagine if any other game flat out expected you to play 48 hours before you could use its multiplayer effectively.
Geographic advantages influence decisions from the opening moments of a campaign, encouraging adaptation instead of rigid optimization.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
