Compared to Vampire Survivors, the aesthetics feel much more refined with detailed pixel-art graphics, which comes at the cost of readability once the screen is filled with monsters and spell animations.

Yes it has some issues with balancing, and does alot of things that you can expect, but having unique twists like a day and night cycles, familiars, and a rune system with alot of playable characters lets it feel like a unique game.

Secondly...a really good thing, there are actually little side quests / missions you can complete while playing the level.

Music/soundThe music and sound effects are good but it does get repetitive after all the grind required.

There is a deep progression system which is very grindy and slow but there if you want to slowly carve into it, and the upgrade mechanics are a little unclear as after 10+ hours I still don't know how to actually fuse a weapon, but I am enjoying it for what it is and absolutely perfect on the Steam Deck.
