What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Visuals are top-notch, the art style is really pleasing and in a sense idyllic.
The gameplay is relaxing, yet challenging; there hasn't been anything that made me ragequit, just try harder; the normal difficulty setting seems to be really balanced, and also implementing checkpoints makes the frustration factor go waaaay down.
Overall great game with memorable music, characters and challenges.
The levels are laid out in such a way that each jump, kick, bounce and deflection adds a complementary tune to the soundtrack, and it makes you feel like the songs are not just background audio but a real part of the experience.
Just starting to get back into this on the PC version with a Dualshock 3 (yes 3) controller with a wireless usb receiver (you can search many good ones on amazon).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
