Kingdoms of the Dump

While the writing is very quirky and the characters are constantly making puns based on whatever race or part of the world they come from, this is done in a manner that feels natural to the setting so I never felt the dialogues were trying to grab my head to force a smirk out of me in a way that became usual in this modern era of Marvel films.

This combination of mechanics is a nice twist on turn-based combat, and give it just enough depth without needing to look up guides to understand the tactics.

I think this game is also one of the best expressions of turn-based QTE combat that I've seen since SMRGP.

The visuals are stunning, featuring outstanding pixel art that is levels above of what you would expect of games back from the SNES era.

There are a good number of playable characters, each with their own timings for attacks, so it's kind of fun to experiment which ones to place as your main party later on in the game.
