Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
The soundtrack and sound design are also top notch.

Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
That I've already succeeded getting more people to play through the story than I ever did with Crimzon Clover's fantastic novice mode since its release a decade ago, and them coming out more receptive to STGs, is enough for me to say POLYGON BIRD's first outing is worth your support and playtime.

Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
Gameplay wise it reminds a little of the aforementioned shmups, Radiant Silvergun especially, and it also really reminds me of the obscure Alltynex from the FMTowns as the ship in that game had both a sword and a very similar looking homing missiles special weapon, with green trails even.

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
The team released a conventional shmup with undeniable crossover appeal and their inexperience catering to specialists is more fixable and less urgent than the reverse of wrapping a compelling fictional world in alluring audio and visuals.

Controls
Players who bring up Controls mostly praise it.
Really fun shmup with a gorgeous art style and unique sword mechanic (play with a controller that has joysticks for the optimal sword swinging experience).
