Sure, it's running on the tried and true Unreal Engine 3 (or something, it's getting hard to keep up with the numbers - forgive a 30-something that just wants to shoot bad guys on a screen), so there's some better lighting, really good explosion and ragdoll physics, a lot more polygons.

The game follows the same story line and mechanics, but offers a lot more content like challenge maps, a unique Halloween map and the introduction of co-op.

You can see that the updated version has a little more atmosphere, for example in the graveyard the mist is deeper and the graphics are sharper, the weapons look shinier etc, otherwise it looks virtually the same.
