Heroes of Science and Fiction

There’s enough challenge without stalling out progression, at least in casual play.

The inclusion of four story-driven campaigns alongside a generous selection of skirmish maps provides substantial content for both solo players and those who simply enjoy experimenting with different strategies.

The overworld art style is gorgeous but shouldn't be this graphically demanding.

Heroes of Science and Fiction succeeds in delivering a compelling evolution of the classic turn-based strategy formula by replacing fantasy with an engaging interstellar setting while preserving the satisfying blend of exploration, resource management, tactical combat, and hero progression that fans appreciate.

Heroes' abilities feel much more balanced, a lot of QoL improvements (e.g. teleporting to castle is level 1 spell now and you can quick travel between them for a fee), you can build defensive structures on the map to control territory better, units often have interesting abilities to play with (and around).

The soundtrack does a great job of setting the pace but combat is where the game shines.
