Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster

The combat alone makes these two games pretty unique, and combined with the fantastic music and great story, the collection is a very easy recommendation for Fans of JRPGs (even if the price seems a bit high for the basic nature of the port), especially since these two games are pretty niche.

The gameplay, with its card battle mechanic, is quite innovative, but the fact that cards are constantly ageing as you play, might frustrate some players.

These two games feature an amazingly fun and unique Turn-based battle system (Baten Kaitos) and ATB-style system (Origins) combined with a card battler, have an amazing soundtrack composed by Motoi Sakuraba (also known for doing soundtracks for the "Tales of" games and "Dark Souls"), and beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds.

I'm playing it at a stable 90 fps on the Steam Deck OLED, and I haven't encountered the combat stuttering issues reported by some PC players.

Rather than simply preserving the original releases, the remaster enhances them with updated visuals and a wealth of convenience features that make these lengthy adventures far more accessible to modern players while respecting what made the originals so memorable.

+Nice balance of difficulty - regular battles are breezy, bosses will test your skills and deck.
