What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story is engaging and well-paced, with great voice acting that brings the characters to life.
The co-op experience is top-notch, with seamless gameplay that makes teaming up with friends a joy.
Even something as easy as recreating the DBD lobby animations in the ready-up screen would have endeared the game to me a little.
Although the raw graphics and animations are clearly polished there is no overarching atmosphere or articulation to the way everything is framed and presented; it's just a game that players load into.
This immediately makes it feel hollow and disingenuous, especially with the okay soundtrack thoughtlessly hyping it up so much.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
