He told me that Sonic adventure 1 and 2 are pretty good and I should start 2 first since the story isn't really connected to 1.
If you only want the Chao garden part of the game go ahead, but if its the sonic gameplay you want I suggest you don't bother unless you honestly have nothing else to play.
The Sonic/Shadow levels are some of the highlights in this, being quick and fun. but the other level types like the Tails/eggman and Knuckles/Rouge arent that great with some of their levels making you wanna crash out. but if you eventually do, the Chao garden will help you out with how peaceful it is (but it may be boring without mods since raising chaos can take ages to grow up. but besides that, the soundtrack is a classic, story is great, and the level designs can be mixed.
Upon downloading you need to adjust the frame rate, do something-a-rather with steam to allow for a controller be used.
While I complained about the presentation, that was mainly for cutscenes, the actual graphics are fairly great for 2001 (sharp textures, decent models, 60fps).
The main story was truly emotional, and dark, the chao garden was so cute, and this game is fully Steam Deck capable, that's right!

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
