I like the gameplay loop, I just struggle to find a reason to keep playing after a while.
Which would be okay in a plot-oriented game, but in a roguelike it's a major flaw.
The flat 2D art style somehow works in its favor, as it keeps enemies clear, recognizable and fluid to shoot.
This game is very fun, and is somehow well optimized enough to run properly on the ♥♥♥♥ laptop that i have. i have attached my PC specs to this review for you to see. my laptop is from before 2016 and it still runs the game at a more than playable framerate. worth the money, though a bit difficult. why is hard the default difficulty i do not know, i find that i enjoy the game the most on medium.
Devs are on the ball, respond quickly to bugs as they happen, are helpful and moderate the discord server well as well, and just in general, the game is a LOT of fun, has some great tunes for its soundtrack, and honestly, tweaking your builds of your guns is a lot more fun than you'd think.
As an extra note: there is possible multiplayer update in the future, which I'm excited to get this game for my friends!
