Not only is the flat comic'ish art style very nice to look at (especially for motion sick people), it also makes it easy to see items, enemies and objects due to the high contrast between colours.

Devs are on the ball, respond quickly to bugs as they happen, are helpful and moderate the discord server well as well, and just in general, the game is a LOT of fun, has some great tunes for its soundtrack, and honestly, tweaking your builds of your guns is a lot more fun than you'd think.
