I also installed a texture/lighting mod called HDmod, which was not neccessary but did vastly improve the graphics from their dated, fugly appearance.

The sound design is fantastic for being such an ancient game, the atmosphere DRIPS from every pore this game has and it’s generally such a fantastic immersive experience.
