Edit Post-Achievement x2: It literally took me a single more attempt to get it after the first edit, but that doesn't really change the review much; I still think that was a pretty harsh experience to tank through for 100% completion, I still think the base game in normal and even on hard difficulty is pretty enjoyable, with lovely nods and tons of inspiration from og horror survival games, I still think that the game's got its fair share of skill based segments and its pretty charming as a casual playthrough.
All the notes of survival horror are not only present but well crafted: ammo and inventory management; threatening enemies in tight corridors; navigable but satisfying puzzles.
