What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The combat didn't age all that well, but it's fairly fun when you get the hang of it, it's kind of like a distant cousin to Enclave, or at least the melee characters in that game.
When it was on sale you were able to get it for 2,50€ which is absolutely fair for the 10 hours of sp fun it provides (not counting the multiplayer - if you like multiplayer games like Half-Life Deathmatch, with vikings)
The game's graphics and animations aren't what this game is good for.
Controls can be remapped and are highly responsive, and the only exceptions seemed to be hard-coded in the gameplay (such as the slow reaction time for raising the shield).
The voice acting is impressive for a 2000 game, and the sound effects of combat are satisfying.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
