What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The graphics look very good with bright colors and plant and animal models that are simplified but still look great and by the end of the game after placing all the elements I like to take a good look at the mini world I created and how it looks alive and flourishing.
The game gradually teaches these relationships through play, making progression feel natural and satisfying.
Combined with a soothing soundtrack and gentle pacing, Preserve delivers an atmosphere that encourages relaxation without sacrificing engagement.
Out of the box, the game is also Steam Deck friendly, however, it may need some touch UI optimizations as the controller is the only supported input for now and many users could expect to move the cards over to the island.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 5 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
