Magenta Horizon - Neverending Harvest

With expressive combat focused on aggression, hit-trading, and then using your enemies for healing via the very creative 'healing bomb' system.

It of course doesn't stop there though, because all of this synergizes with the core gameplay pretty masterfully as well.

The difficulty is also tuned to be surprisingly challenging on the standard Wraith difficulty, something which I appreciate, although there are options on the lower end as well.

I loved the artstyle, with the often impeccably gross and expressive enemy designs, I enjoyed the story and characters, with Gretel being an overall pretty compelling protagonist, and I really liked the soundtrack, loving the implementation of a stage having two tracks that seamlessly swapped depending on if you were exploring or in combat.

A lot of this is owed to the incredible visuals with a unique cacophony of color, twisted enemy designs and area backgrounds with a hand-painted flair, and of course a fantastic and incredibly unique orchestral/prog-metal soundtrack that complements this all beautifully.

Thankfully Magenta Horizon's OST is really great, i love the mix of rock with classical instruments which i tend to hear more from games like Xenoblade Chronicles or other JRPGs and it is really really good, i love especially how each stage has a calming song and then transitions into the combat version of the song when you encounter enemies that makes me really pumped up when it happens.
