What players think

i grew up playing the nancy drew games with my grandmother (we were a pair of puzzle, mystery-loving nerdlords who were patient enough to spend hours problem-solving for no more than the bragging rights). due to this, the series has definitely grown to have a special place in my heart, and this game revived so much of that. it's been a while since i last played a nancy drew game and this felt like stepping right back into the world. a lot of fun, plenty of opportunities for me to mutter sassily at the characters under my breath. only complaint is that if you miss a clue/item while one of the characters is away from their 'post', you might break the game?
Although the visuals reflect the technological limitations of the period in which the game was released, the environments remain attractive thanks to strong artistic direction.
The soundtrack reinforces the sense of discovery with subtle musical themes, while ambient sounds help immerse players in the isolation of an active dig site.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
