It has that feeling of a good tabletop rpg where you accomplish a little bit in each session while your collective story as a group spans months/years, and everyone is generally working towards the same goals of trying to stay alive and make progress whether it's building up new settlements, discovering new technology, or killing difficult/epic creatures... it's very impressive for an mmo.
