By combining randomized runs, collectible cards, and a cast of distinctive angelic characters, the game aims to provide more than simple fan service and succeeds in creating an experience that can keep players invested over multiple playthroughs.
This is probably the most fun gameplay I've ever had with one of these games, which is pretty rare considering half of them are just CG collectors without much substance.
Visually, the game embraces a bright anime art style that suits both its fantasy setting and mature themes.
Music helps establish the mood during exploration, dialogue, and combat encounters, while sound effects provide satisfying feedback during battles.
The game may also be a bit too easy, even when playing in hard mode, and I think it might benefit from something like the "Corruption levels" of Slay the Spire.
