I also think the new makeup mechanic was very underwhelming, with such improved graphics from the old game it would have been super rewarding to be able to draw your own makeup look and instead possibly having different colours or patterns as purchases rather than how eye shadow looks.
• The music is actually a bop in so many areas - I especially love the Mall's soundtrack in Seoul
i have a lot more problems but honestly idk if it's even worth it to keep going. i seriously doubt mga or the devs are gonna look at the reviews and take the criticisms to heart and try better next time. this game felt like a cash grab, through and through. the reason im being so harsh on bratz of all things is that clearly since mga rebooted the brand, they've been catering to the existing audience of adults who used to play with the dolls and watch the movies and play the games when they were kids. they're not marketing to the current generation of kids at all. so why put out this crock of ♥♥♥♥?
the voice acting tends to be shoddy in some places, notably with less important characters like raya or other random nameless npcs. the text dialogue frequently doesn't match up with the voice lines, at one point in barcelona they even had an entire voiced sentence that wasn't shown in the text box. the music is hilariously thrown together, there are maybe 3 or 4 songs from the original bratz discography that play sporadically throughout the game in the most random locations, and every different location and building has one uninspired looping instrumental track. except for the track that plays in the stilesville mall, im pretty sure that song was the menu theme to the bratz girlz really rock game for ps2/wii??
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
