Lighting, color palettes, and object placement are all carefully balanced so that differences remain discoverable without relying on garish highlights or artificial markers.
In regards to gameplay, it wasn’t complicated and the difficulty was well balanced.
Rather than moving abruptly from one unrelated puzzle to the next, ToriDori allows its environments to evolve, creating a sense of continuity and gentle progression.
The environments themselves were interesting to look at (the art direction is beautiful), the soundtrack/music fit each scene theme, and there was a large variety of scene ideas.
