Others have praised the game for its progression system, but I feel the praise is somewhat misplaced.
I play on Steam Deck set on 6W TDP and 30fps - it is kinda demanding for what it is and scales up with more cars in the race (and in split-screen I guess?).
The graphics have improved from the previous entry but there was a few maps that didn't make it to this one which was dissapointing.
And you can put your mp3 files and change custom vehicle names too, which is very much needed as the in-game soundtrack can be hideous after playing a long while.
If I had to nitpick something then it would be a lack of online multiplayer minor inconveniences in the user interface, most of whom got adressed with patches, together with extra tracks and cars way after release, for free!
UPDATE: you can do what I want in some events it seems: the car is displayed at the top and you can use RB/LB on controller to do that.
