What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game centers around the characters of the original game being suddenly swallowed by inter-dimensional rifts and plunged from their mostly underground Fantasy world into a modern day, Americanized cityscape.
It’s a genuinely fascinating gameplay system, and very unique for a rhythm game.
It is really nice to see all of the old characters returning, now with voice acting and additional personality quirks, plus some seemingly new faces added into the colorful and diverse fray.
The visuals are nice!
It also has a robust settings menu in general and sports quite a few things to tailor as much to your liking as possible when it comes to motions, colors.
The game has really good accessibility features, particularly for reducing the motion of monsters and backgrounds, as well as reducing other VFX and giving you optional “Early” and “Late” feedback for hits (I highly recommend you turn this on).
