There is a very noticeable difference between a decent build and a really strong one, which makes it fun to test different characters, skills, synergies, and upgrades.
The survivor genre as popularized by Vampire Survivors has had many games attempting their own spin and Soulstone is no different, offering a deep progression system with varied gameplay across different maps and game modes on your path to creating a god build and there is some truth to this.
The visuals are great.
+ 20+ different characters and voice acting and different skill trees and weapons and very unique special abilities and cool designs
All of my time played is on the Steam Deck where I faced no issues, not a single crash even 1 hour+ into a game.
This means you can play as optimized as possible with a build theme you like, but it will take you 3 times as long to complete a run without that multiplier, so if a character does not have a skill, whether unique or common, with that multiplier prepare yourself for a slog as the difficulty increases.
