Storywise, the adventure itself and interactions between characters was quite good and enjoyable, and I wouldn't have mind seeing more in a second game.
What we weren't anticipating was the amount of lore, addicting gameplay, and really catchy music (the final fight theme in particular was SO GOOD).
The levels have a pretty good variety in them and the difficulty does progress at a pretty smooth rate as the game goes on.
The soundtrack is seriously good (you'll recognize its sound if you're familiar with Woofle's work in the Freedom Planet series), the bits of lore sprinkled in help define the world, and the quirky writing adds lots of personality.
Got it for the artstyle, I was expecting an alright game but it turned out to be a REALLY fun, the combat is good, the gameplay is GREAT, the music is a freaking bop, and the story backdrop is very entertaining too.
The music was an all around banger, and the art style of the game is fantastic.
