What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Gameplay is solid, controls are tight.
The biggest and most obvious one is the graphics, the art style, it’s perfectly managed to recreate the feeling that those classic 8-bit games had without sacrificing for quality.
It’s obvious that the solo developer poured so much care into each animation, each soundtrack loop, and every dialogue bubble.
Controller support is excellent.
Billboards, character names, mission objectives, and even interface elements are laced with jokes and nods that reward players who recognize them.
The game also works great on a steam deck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
