It's a fun story mode where you play against several NPC with different personalities at different venues.
The digital version does have pass and play local multiplayer but it's an awful way to experience the game in my opinion.
While still a bit rough around the edges as a video game, the core "card" gameplay is very good, and very interesting.
I've been playing this game on the steam deck, and as you probably expected of a 2D title, it runs great there.
