Kit's Quest

Overall, even without any guides out yet, I feel like the exploration is in a nice sweet spot.

this is a true emulation of older, classic 3d platformers. it stays traditional, and to me, that's an awesome thing. many 3d platformers have more bells and whistles compared to older ones as technology has evolved, or they have incredibly pretty graphics. and that's awesome too, but it's a breath of fresh air to see a game that comes SO CLOSE to the old feel that games had in all regards.

The game really hits its stride in the late-game area called “Enchanted Metalworks” which beautifully nails the mood, difficulty, puzzle design, and intrigue of gameplay elements in all the right ways, while also introducing some awesome platforming elements I’ve rarely seen in other games.

It sometimes feels like the soundtrack is too good for the game it’s accompanying, but I won’t complain.
