Rotwood

Rotwood has a charming aesthetic and competent combat fundamentals, but shallow progression, repetitive content, and conflicting design goals keep it from becoming a lasting roguelike experience.

Combat is engaging, and the randomness of powers keeps each run feeling fresh.

Thankfully the combat is fun, the co-op is good, and there are lots of enemies to fight with more to come.

The visuals are top-notch, adorable, memorable and detailed, only making trouble in the most crowded, insane fights with dozens of enemies( though I can't remember a single game without that problem+ Rotwood has very good sound cues, I know exactly who wants to attack and how).

The Super Frenzy mechanic is a nice way to ramp the difficulty, especially since it's split between each weapon, incentivizing diversity for completion and upgrades. here's plenty of armor and weapon variants to choose from, there's a kit for anyone, even if some are easier to work with than others.

The reason I've played this so much is because it its couch shared screen multiplayer, so I can play it with my wife!
