What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Every mechanic, narrative beat, and challenge reinforces the concept of parallel perspectives, making it feel less like a traditional puzzle game and more like a digital escape room crafted specifically for two minds working in tandem.
One of the more playful aspects of Parallel Experiment is how it embraces the social nature of co-op play.
This makes the gameplay itself feel fresh at nearly every single point, never doing the same thing twice and (barring a couple examples to be mentioned later) never feeling tiring.
Audio design supports the atmosphere without overwhelming it.
The art style is unique and the voice acting is immersive.
In most cases, it wasn't too difficult to figure out what you were supposed to do to solve the puzzle (even if actually working through the puzzle took some more thought).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
