Aka getting stronger, having meta-progression, and getting fun and crazy upgrades during a run.
The story in Void Scrappers is hardly original, but I do know that in a parallel universe the galaxy as a whole has gone to the garbage and that scraps of metal are the most prized commodities.
The graphics are crispy and well done for 8-bit style, along with very good artwork and a nice array of challenging enemies.
Interestingly enough, one of my favorite parts of this game is the music, it is very well done and it is the sort of soundtrack that you might want to listen to on it's own, with a varied and chill sound that relaxes you as you are engaged in fast paced enemy slaying carnage.
First of all the controls are so incredibly smooth on xbox controller.
Ah and it runs great on Linux and the Steam Deck props for that!
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
