Dungeons of Hinterberg

The dungeon crawling is beautifully paced and broken up by genuinely charming characters you meet along your adventures in the semi-open world system Hinterberg.

The narrative doesn't shock with layers of twists and turns - Luisa is quickly revealed to be an unusually talented dungeon delver, something starts going wrong with the magic, and you can probably guess how much of it goes from there - but it's well-told with an emphasis on the many charming characters.

this game is like a chair with 3 great legs great visual design imo, cool atmosphere music ambience, ok'ish combat .. but the fourth leg of the chair is a big pile of poop - the writing .. now due to that the chair itself is unsuable .. you wouldnt wanna sit on it or even go near it .. same here ..

The presentation is quite pleasant, with fresh colors and a well-executed cel-shaded art style.

Within the dungeons themselves you'll come across many puzzles, each progressive dungeon building upon mechanics you've learned from the previous, adding a good layering of difficulty scaling while keeping everything in a friendly and not-too-hard-to-complete realm.

Aurally, the music is nice if nothing stellar and the sound design does well too.
