What players think
The recurring themes across 56 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story is serviceable and impressively strung together in a thoughtful way.
Together, these factors make Akumi Wars a very enjoyable 12-15 hour (minimum) experience with strong replayability which will leave most players hungry for the planned free future expansions.
Akumi Wars is the passion project of the talented artist and animator Milton Pool (Miltoniusarts), so it comes as no surprise that the game is visually stunning, adapting his signature art style and classic world-building into a full-length, interactive and humorous RPG.
- A turn indicator would be nice somewhere on the screen instead of having to select the question-mark icon in the top left, most of the elements in the question-mark menu should just be flat-out visible on the fight screen regardless, I want to be able to see ALL my heroes' health on the screen and not have to go to a separate menu
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
