What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Rather than relying on a simple good-versus-evil narrative, the story draws heavily from regional legends and folklore, creating a setting filled with eccentric characters, mysterious spirits, and symbolic encounters.
It really adds to the atmosphere that the voice acting augments as well.
Gameplay and design are certainly non-professional but it does an awful lot right and - reminiscent of games like Nier - is not afraid to mix up how the game plays and it comfortably fits a ~6 hour playthrough with no filler content or repetitive combat.
Judero is a wonderful indie title filled with handcrafted visuals and truly beautiful music.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
