What players think
The recurring themes across 125 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
As scrub-stomper characters go, DM is probably the strongest I have seen in a very long time.
The game offers a variety of combo routes, both with and without partners, the capability of having a multitude of gameplay styles per character using the unique lane change systems as well as character-specific mechanics, and smooth transitioning with moves.
The game's full of charm and has pretty decent singleplayer content, enough for casual players who don't like the online git gud grind.
On top of that, it has rollback netcode, crossplay, and the demo can play training mode and private lobbies!
Great graphics, steampunk style 2d sprites.
DL is great and deserves to have more players, I think the key would be for the devs to now 100% focus on new player onboarding & incentives while strenghtening the co-op parts, if they don't want DL to become yet another ultra niche hyper fighter that is only played by a handful of hermit gods.

Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
