What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
And it's so well done that I didn't feel too bad slogging through the brainless grindy gameplay to see the jokes and characters.
- The graphics use cute pixel art but the visuals can get extremely cluttered if you loop a run or survive for long enough in the survival mode;
That being said, I think this is technically a better game: the game never seems to become so trivial that you could just let go of the controls, and there are many, many more combinations of minions, relics and characters to play with.
- The soundtrack is also excellent.
Played On Steam Deck
I could maybe see the art style being a turnoff to some, and in more chaotic stages it can be hard to tell which pixels on the screen are going to hurt you (though there are accessibility options that help).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
