Shadows Over Loathing

The three classes are just as fun as the previous instalments, with the Cheese Wizard being a real standout for me, and the plot is a major improvement over West of Loathing imo

A former on-again, off-again player of the original browser-based MMO(ish)RPG Kingdom of Loathing, I enjoyed the single player spin-off RPG West of Loathing, and found it an agreeable experience with serviceable gameplay functioning as a bedrock for the true experience of the game: the writing.

It's telling that the game can be played completely without undergoing a single fight (there's even an achievement for it), although for the sake of "the experience", I still suggest at least one combat playthrough: the various enemies, weapons, and effects can be amusing all their own and elicit a chuckle or two on occasion.

It's pretty damn polished, the art style is incredibly charming, and the comedy is great.

There are plenty of things I like: the soundtrack is good, the enemies are varied, and the world is interesting.

With three separate classes for each of the game's three main stats, there's a good deal of replayability.
