Ok, stay with me here, this game is freakin awesome, its very well made, well thought out and very well executed, it has one flaw which sadly has killed the game cause nowadays the community is way too harsh and cant handle minor issues without trashing and destroying it totally. sadly this is the case with this game and it is absolutely not deserved, last update as of now was 6 november 2025 which is just 13 days ago as of this writing so hopefully they still continues on this and can save it and im gonna try explain why i hope that:
The card system allows you to modify the game world biomes in substantial and really unique ways and gives a HUGE amount of replayability.
the game has some unique mechanics and is very well thought out, it is a survival game with action based story with many rpg elements in it, the crafting system is freakin awesome, its a breath of fresh air, there are many variants of each type of resource, and each type gives different stats, and then you build you tools/armor/weapons with components that you craft with chosen resource to give chosen stats, so instead of rng looting and grinding the loot for the right stats you go out to get the right resources to give the stats you want to craft the items to make them as you want them to be, the game is not grindy compared to other survivals, the building is good and has many variants, and then you have the realms, the realms you can customise and combine as you see fit and you can reset to get a new realm, you have many types of realms to choose from and it never feels like you have the same realm, it allways feels like you exploring something new and exciting, there are many activities on each realm and you dont have leveling system, the graphics are very good and music and animation and the entire feel of the game is very good.
The companion system is really cool (recruit companions from the realms to work at your estate or be your personal bodyguard with lots of controls), craft/build from storage (so many survival games don't have this still), lore depth, immersive environments with dynamic weather, great performance (other than the initial character creation - that was super laggy for some reason; compiling shaders in the background or something?), random encounter events, many dynamic realms to explore, deep crafting/gear system, fun to play either solo or co-op, haven't ran into any significant bugs, combat is pretty decent, etc.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
